Yes, it’s actually a Ranch!

Nestled in the hilly suburbs of southeast Nashville, Tennessee, (Donelson, to be exact) Realtone Ranch occupies half of an expansive mid-century style ranch home on a green and secluded plot.

In addition to the large live room, control room and booths, the Ranch offers guest rooms, sun patio and outdoor space for both artist and visitor alike. (Not to mention a nice espresso bar!)

The ranch’s story is integrally linked to that of its centerpiece, a 1976 MCI JH-528c Recording Console. This historic desk started its life at the legendary Criteria Studios in Miami, FL where it was employed as a workhorse on classic records like Fleetwood Mac’s “Rumours,” Eagles’ “Hotel California” and the Bee Gees’ “Saturday Night Fever.”

The sound of the MCI console is the sound of “Stayin’ Alive” and many more hit records of that golden age. Lovingly restored by renowned MCI techs Glen Coleman (who helped build it), Damir Rogina and Kevin Nimmo, the desk is at the heart of all audio that passes in and out of the ranch.

While analog equipment made from the early-50’s through the late-70’s forms the basis of our gear inventory, we’re also fully stocked with the latest in digital technology to accomodate projects of all demands.

Whether it be singer-songwriter or classic soul, Delta blues or bluegrass, let the Ranch be the home for your next great record.
Have a project in mind or just wanna drop in for a double espresso? We’d love to host you!
